General

• The prizes for this competition are provided by Destinology. Destinology Registered address is Enbrook Park, High Street, Sandgate, Folkestone, Kent, CT20 3SE. Destinology is owned by Saga PLC. By entering the prize draw, you agree to these terms and conditions.

• The prize draw is governed by English law in the English jurisdiction.

• You must be over 18 to enter into this prize draw and to claim the prize.

• This competition is open to U.K residents only.

• No purchase is necessary to enter this competition.

• There will be one winner who will become Destinology’s travel photographer for the year winning a Nikon Nikon D5600 DSLR Camera, a place at our photography workshop and 3 holidays to enjoy with a guest.  

• The winner will not be employed by Destinology and no salary or payment will be offered.

• Ten runners up will win a place at our photography workshop.

• If you win the competition or you are a runner up, you agree to provide Destinology with all information reasonably requested in order for Destinology to substantiate your identity, age and place of residence.

• Destinology may use information relating to the prize draw for marketing or promotional purposes, including use of the winner's name and likeness. Personal information of entrants will be used in accordance with Destinology’s Privacy Policy, located at: www.destinology.co.uk/information/privacypolicy

• Except as other required by applicable law, Destinology is not responsible for any loss or damage associated with you entering into these terms and conditions, prize draw, or the provision or any aspect of the prize or any act or omission of any other person or party, and all warranties, conditions and representations (of any kind) not expressly set out in these terms and conditions are hereby excluded (except in the case of fraud).

• Destinology may terminate these terms and conditions and the prize draw if you do not comply with any of these terms and conditions, if Destinology decides in its absolute discretion to withdraw the prize before any winner is notified, or thereafter if any circumstances beyond Destinology’s reasonable control prevent or restrict Destinology or any other person or party from providing the prize or any aspect of the prize.

• The winner must agree (unless applicable law requires otherwise) any right that you have under applicable law to amend your prize holiday ends when bookings have been confirmed. If thereafter you cannot participate in the prize for reasons beyond your reasonable control, you must notify Destinology to cancel as soon as possible.

• The winner may not transfer any aspect of the prize to another person or assign or transfer any other rights or obligations in connection with these terms and conditions.

• This competition opens on 7th January 2020 at 12pm GMT and closes at Midnight on 31st January 2020. Entries received after this date will not qualify.

How to Enter

• To enter, simply upload your best holiday moment with a caption on the main competition page.

• One entry will be permitted per individual.

• Entries must be made on the official entry form.

• Entrants must submit their full name and email address to qualify. This does not opt you into any marketing from Destinology. Please untick the box if you do not wish to hear from us.

• Entries may be uploaded directly from Instagram, Facebook or a direct upload from your mobile phone/PC.

• Destinology is not responsible for any technical issues (or other) that impede an entrants' entry being submitted correctly and/or in full.

• By entering the competition, individuals give consent and exclusive rights for Destinology, their partners and sponsors to share their submission across the Destinology website, emails and social media channels. Where possible credit may be given. Such use of a submitted photo does not in any way imply that the photo will be shortlisted.

• Entrants may share their entry across their social media channels to receive votes on their submission and gain a place on our leader board.

• The top ten entries on the leader board at the end of the competition will be invited to a photography workshop with professional photographer Matthew Browne who will decide the overall winner at the end of the session.

• The winner will receive further correspondence from Destinology confirming he/she is the winner of the competition.

• By entering the competition, entrants confirm that they have read and agree to be bound by these terms & conditions and by the decisions of Destinology, which are final in all matters relating to the prizes. Failure to do so will result in the forfeiture of the prize. No correspondence will be entered into.

Restrictions and Exclusions

• All submissions will be moderated before being accepted.

• Incomplete, incorrect, or otherwise invalid entries will not be considered.

• This competition is open to amateur photographers only. Submission of professional photographs will be not be accepted, including and not limited to individuals who make money from photography in any sense.

• Any submissions containing inappropriate or graphic content will be disqualified and no discussion will be entered into.

• Directors, officers and employees (or any of their direct relatives) of Destinology, Saga, or any other person or party involved in organisation of the competition are not eligible to enter this competition or to claim or participate in the prize.

The Prizes

Photography Workshop – Top 10 Leader board

• 10 runners up will be notified by email no later than 10 days after the competition closes.

• The Photography Workshop will take place at Crewe Hall Hotel on 29th February 2020 from 10am-5pm.

• If you are contacted by Destinology, you must RSVP to secure your place on the workshop.

• There are 10 spaces available for entrants of the competition only. There will be no additional spaces for partners/spouses/family members to attend.

• Attendees will receive lunch during the workshop.

• Parking charges, hotel costs, travel expenses and any additional meals are not included.

• 3 night safari at Jabulani Safari, in Kapama Game Reserve, staying in a Jabulani Suite, full board including all game drives and wildlife activities for 2 persons.

• The winner will receive a Nikon D5600 DSLR Camera to the value of £500.

• The camera will be sent to the winner’s address prior to the first holiday being taken.

• A signature may be required upon delivery.

• Destinology cannot be held responsible for the loss or damage of the camera both in transit to the recipient, or during any of the Destinology holidays. No replacement will be issued.

Post Competition Terms

• The Photography winner agrees to provide Destinology with the required content from each trip and give Destinology & our partners the rights to repurpose the content as we see fit.

• The winner agrees to receive a brief from Destinology that sets out the requirements for each trip.

Voters Prize

For those that don’t want to enter the photography contest but wish to vote for their favourite entry in the gallery, you can win a 3-night break to Crete.

• Once you vote for your favourite submission in our gallery, you will automatically be entered into the draw.

• Your email address will be recorded and used to confirm your entry only, you will not be opted in for marketing unless you choose to subscribe to our database.

• One entry will be counted per person and no purchase is necessary.

• The winner will be chosen at random during February and contacted by email.

• The winner will win 3 nights at Domes Zeen Chania staying in a Tropical Bungalow on bed & breakfast for 2 persons.

• Return low cost economy flights for 2 persons from London – airline to be confirmed at time of booking. Regional airports available on request but may incur a surcharge.

• One piece of hold luggage per passenger as standard.

• This prize is valid for stays from 21 April to 15 May 2020 and 15 September to 19 October 2020.

• This prize must be booked by 30th March 2020 and at least 30 days prior to travel.

Travel terms applicable to all prizes

• All prizes exclude spending money, transfers to and from the airport in your home country and any additional meals, drinks, gratuities, any applicable city tax and any incidental expenses incurred while on holiday other than those stated as included.

• Any aspect of these prizes cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, prize, discount or promotion.

• All prizes are subject to availability and further blackout dates may apply.

• Passengers must travel on the same flight.

• Entrants must hold valid passports with 6 months validity prior to travel.

• The winners and guests are responsible for arranging their own valid passports, travel insurance and any necessary visa or health requirements. It is the responsibility of the prize winners to ascertain if a visitor visa is required for travel and if so, that they ensure these are obtained before departure and any cost associated with obtaining a visa will be at the prize winner’s expense.

• All prizes are non-transferable. Once tickets are issued no date changes are permitted, and no cash alternative is available.

• Destinology reserve the right to propose alternative dates or to relocate guests in another hotel in case of overbooking.

• Destinology reserve the right to propose alternative flights in case of inflated flight prices.

• Flight departure times will be confirmed at the time of booking.

• The prizes must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if a winner is unable to use the prize as stated, no alternative destinations will be offered. The winner will be liable for all costs and expenses not stated relating to claiming or partaking of the prize.

• All prizes must be booked with Destinology at least 60 days prior to departure.

• The actual value of the prize may vary based on airfare fluctuations and period of travel. The winner will not receive the difference between actual and approximate retail value.

• The terms for all prizes are non-negotiable.
